We’re proud to announce Pattr has been recognised by the UK Government as a standout business in the emerging safety tech space.
Here’s some context. In 2022, the UK Digital Strategy was published, outlining how the UK Government would strengthen the country’s position as a centre of global science and tech innovation. Part of that roadmap was highlighting the UK’s “leading role in developing innovative solutions that are being used worldwide to safeguard and protect online users from harm, and to detect and remove illegal content.”
Since 2020, the UK Government has also conducted an analysis and review of the safety tech sector, as part of a broader government strategy towards making the country “the safest place in the world to go online”. This year’s report describes the safety tech sector as one of the fastest growing in the UK, with over 115 businesses revenues contributing £381m to the economy — a 21% revenue on the previous year.
As part of this year’s analysis, the UK Government highlighted a small handful of the 17 newly identified safety tech providers in the UK. We’re proud that Pattr was one of them. Though based in Australia, Pattr has a London office and is committed to helping UK brands have healthier conversations with their audiences and build a better internet.
Here’s what the published analysis says about Pattr:
Pattr, which aims to safeguard users and brands from toxicity and spam in social conversations through the use of AI-driven tools and insights. Founded in Australia in 2014, Pattr has a London office working with UK sports teams, gaming, media, retail and agencies.
We’re excited to continue to empower brands and creators in the UK — and all over the world — to take control of their conversations and build healthier, more productive online communities.
